Zambia’s economy has grown more than six percent per year over the last eight years. However, with around 61 percent of the population still living below the national poverty line and the country’s high incidence of HIV/AIDS, Zambians continue to lag behind.
FINCA Zambia is a regulated, deposit taking, microfinance institution who serves more than 90,000 low-income entrepreneurs in rural and urban areas of the country, many of whom are single mothers caring for children orphaned by AIDS.
