Facts about Armenia
After the global financial crisis, Armenia’s economic growth slowed significantly; the percentage of Armenians living in poverty increased from 27.6% in 2008 to 30% in 2014. Remittances, or money sent into the country from Armenians working elsewhere, make up 14% of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP).
Established in 1999, FINCA Armenia serves around 45,000 clients through 37 offices throughout the country.
