Kirsten has 20+ years of successful business and consumer experience in strategic and business development, marketing planning and execution, product and process design, project management and customer sales and service. Based in Vancouver, she currently consults and acts as a marketing strategist for numerous technology and financial services companies around the globe.
With her undergraduate degree in Economics, Kirsten has a proven ability to grow revenues, increase market share and enhance customer experience by creating solutions and programs that deliver unique value propositions to customers all over the world.
Previously, she held the roles of Chief Market Officer at Commonwealth Foreign Exchange and Global Marketing Vice President for Western Union Business Solutions. At Western Union, she led the NGO customer segment strategy and marketing programs, in which Western Union formally committed to at the Clinton Global Initiative in 2012, to help solve the last mile challenge for delivering funds to regions who lack financial services infrastructure. Prior to that, she was the Director of Marketing at TELUS Communications.
Kirsten continues to be engaged in a variety volunteer & fundraising opportunities with NGOs. As part of the Ashoka Executive in Residence in 2012, she traveled to India to work with the Mann Deshi Foundation supporting rural women entrepreneurs, and has seen first-hand the impact of access to education and financial services can have on a community.
